Agricultural production has grown by 0.1% ths year, remaining stable.
In the latest report from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, it shows that farming has contributed over €28 billion to the Spanish economy this year.
There had been concerns that increases in costs of materials would have impacted on the sector, however it appears that the country’s output has managed to increase according to demand.
Vegetable production rose by 4.4%, whilst fruit exports fell by 3.4%. The livestock market has seen a record breaking year, with it being valued at over €20 billion this year.
