Baby Elephant Born in Valencia

A baby elephant has been born in captivity for the first time at a Valencia zoo. However, the birth was hardly a surprise as the mother and staff have had 653 days to prepare, as it is believed Mum Matla conceived in January 2021. The new-born is the latest addition at the city’s BioPark as is yet to be named by keepers but will soon be out with Mum to meet well-wishers.
