Torrevieja Hospital is offering booster jabs, without an appointment, to anyone over the age of 60. To qualify recipients must be double jabbed for six months or more with either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccination – or for more than 3 months with AstraZeneca or Janssen.
People are able to walk in to the Assembly Hall at the hospital between 8am and 8pm today (Wednesday 22nd December) and tomorrow (Thursday 23rd December). First and second dose jabs are also available to anyone over the age of 12.
This comes hot on the heels of an announcement that mass vaccination centres will once again reopens across the Valencian Community to speed up the vaccination process. This will focus on booster jabs as the 6-month schedule has been falling worryingly behind.
