Meteorological Agency AEMET has said that the calima which is currently moving across Spain will mostly remain in the country until Friday.
At a point yesterday, Spain had the lowest quality of air due to the warm dusty air which has blown up from the Saharha desert.
Health experts have said where the calima continues, people should wear a mask and those with respiritory complaints should avoid excercise outdoors.
Storm Celia has brought disruption nationwide, due to strong winds, with forecasters expecting conditions to start to ease today – with the dust cloud moving northwards towards France and the United Kingdom.
Rain is expected in parts today, which could bring with it deposits of mud.
