A climber has been rescued from the top of the Via Ferrata in Callosa de Segura. The Mountain Rescue Service were told that a middle-aged, Portuguese national was injured and in need of help.
The man had climbed the Via Ferrata, reached the top and had begun to make his decent when he slipped. The slip caused loose rocks to fall and the man suffered fractures to his foot, tibia and fibula. He was lifted off the mountain by helicopter and taken to the Vega Baja Hospital.
