Costa Blanca Homeless Campaign

A campaign to raise awareness of the lack of social protection for homeless people has been launched by the Catholic church charity, Cáritas. Last year, in the diocese of Orihuela-Alicante, the charity attended to 1,362 homeless people. The charity has four shelters and 16 homes across the Alicante Province as well as teams out on the streets in support of the homeless.
