A wildfire that had broken out in the Cotes Altes area has been brought under control, according to emergency services.

The blaze was reported in the early hours of Sunday afternoon, with seven crews of firefighters attending the scene and activating emergency plans to bring the fire under control. Railway services between Ontinyent and Alcoi were suspended whilst the fire was out of control.
Shortly after 4.30 it was confirmed that the blaze was being dampened down, with around 20 hectares of land being burnt.
