Since the start of the pandemic, traces have been taken from the wastewater in major cities in each country across the globe; and samples are taken each week by Aguas de Alicante City at the town’s main sewage plants in Alicante City.
The results for the last week are showing a ‘significant drop’ in the presence of Coronavirus. In fact, overall traces have dropped from 2,262,000 genomic units per litre a fortnight ago to just 114,000 supporting the considerable drop in cases.
