Dead Animals to be Removed from Streets

Following a backlash from the local community, Orihuela Town Hall has contracted a company to remove dead animals from the streets. The previous contract had run out, meaning that for several weeks dead cats, dogs and birds had been left where they lay. The service will be offered in conjunction with the local police, who should be notified if a dead animal is spotted. Officers will then ensure the carcass is dealt with in a safe and hygienic manner.
