Torrevieja firefighters were called to a house on the Los Locos beach promenade, following a concerned call from the rental agent. Neighbours had alerted her to the strong smell coming from the house where a 65-year-old Russian man lived. The man had not been seen for several days and no-one could get him to answer the door.
Firefighters found the lifeless body of the tenant, who could have been dead for several days, according to initial findings.
