The managing director of Ribera Salud in Torrevieja, José David Zafrilla, is refuting claims by the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, that the Torrevieja Hospital management company has not provided her department with the necessary information for an orderly and safe transition. The director siad he is ‘disappointed’ by the allegation and says the handover has been ‘impeccable’.
Zafrilla updated staff resignation figures, saying there is now around 100 professionals who have decided not to continue working at the Torrevieja Hospital. He also clarified that the recent ‘hack’ reported to the Guardia was not patient data but a computer management program used by Ribera Salud that has been stolen and used without permission.
