An eagle owl is recovering after being recused by an expert falconer. The bird was spotted in an irrigation pond in the Sierra de Benejúzar. It was in the water and its wings were so water-logged it was unable to fly, and the banks of the pond were so steep and slippery the bird was near exhaustion trying to get itself out. The owl is now recovering and will be released back into its natural environment as soon as possible now its dried out.
