The ‘electric bus of the future’ is being trialled in Alicante after the city was selected by the manufacturer as the preferred test location, due to the demanding climate. The revolutionary ‘100 percent electric’ bus has already been put through its paces on a test route between the railway station and the port, as well as on some of the city’s regular routes.
The bus carries 130 passengers, runs for 16 hours and recharges in just 3 hours. It doesn´t come cheap though, and has a price tag of 500, 000 euros.
