The eviction of a family in Torrevieja with a disabled child has been postponed for one month. The eviction was scheduled for yesterday morning (Monday 24th October) on Calle Galeón in the town centre after the couple lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic and are unable to pay the rent.
A local pressure group were present to try and stop the married couple and their two children, a 7-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy with severe disabilities from being left on the streets. A reprieve was given, and Torrevieja City Council has promised the family social housing.
