Further flash flooding has been reported across parts of the country, as more downpours are expected in places today.
Amber and yellow weather warnings remain in place for much of the Iberian peninsular for torrential rain and thunder storms, which could bring with it additional localised flash flooding.
Yesterday saw a downpour quickly overwhelm the Catalan town of Alcanar, with vehicles being swept away. Over 215 litres of rain per square metre fell for 14 hours.
9000 lightning strikes were also recorded during the peaks of the storm, with people in at risk areas being advised to remain at home and only to travel if absolutely essential.
Authorities did say however there were no reports of any injuries as a result of the flood.
