Policia Nacional have dismantled a major drug smuggling operation and confiscated tonnes of cocaine in raids carried out in Algeciras, La Rioja and Valencia.
3 and a half tonnes of cocaine as well as a quarter of a million euros and a number of high end vehicles were siezed in the raids, which saw four people detained.
It’s understood the drugs were imported through the port of Algeciras via shell companies – some posing as customs clearance businesses.
Investigators have said they expect more arrests in the coming weeks.
