Policia Nacional have detained a criminal gang based in Andalucia accused of drug offences and the forgery of banknotes.

Investigators believe up to €130,000 worth of fake notes have been introduced across the region by the group, after they used fake €50 and €100 notes in retail and entertainment establishments across the region.
19 people were detained in raids carried out in Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Seville, with homes and industrial properties searched. Money, drugs, simulated firearms and computer equipment were all seized in the raids.
The investigation was launched in 2020 after numerous reports of forged notes being discovered in and around the city of Malaga.
