Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announded that the Spanish Governemnt is to commit nearly a quarter of a billion euros to ensure global food security.
His comments were made eariler this week at the Global Food Summit being held at the United Nations in New York.
During his presentation he also blamed Russia for the current crisis in food supplies.
Mr. Sanchez also called for open and transparent trade, and the end of barriers in the trade and movement of fertilizers and other agricultural products.
