The Agency for Medicines and Health Products in Spain has said that only 0.14% of those who have received the coronavirus vaccines have suffered any form of adverse reaction to the jab.
The study – published at the end of January – mainly focuses on the two injections that were available during the initial stages of the vaccination programme – namely the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines.
Of the 1,555 notifications of a reaction – the majority was either a slight fever, headaches or nausea and diarrhoea. Only eight cases out of 7.2 million doses administered resulted in anaphylaxis, which required further medical attention.
