Greenpeace Slams the Segura

Greenpeace has released a report in which it slams the Segura basin. The report blames intensive industrial irrigation for the Segura’s condition, which has badly damaged the aquifers, overexploiting and polluting them, seriously affecting ecosystems such as the Mar Menor. The report highlights the findings of an X-ray of the 804 underground water masses in Spain and highlights the growing problem of the county’s water reserves.
