Guardamar Rescues

The Mayor of Guardamar has reported that more than 160 rescues have been performed by the town’s lifeguard service this summer with 14 cases requiring hospitalisation. He explained that “cardiorespiratory arrests have been common, due in part to high temperatures and heat waves.” The service, which has an annual cost of 322,140.60 euros, ends on 30th September.
