The Guardia Civil union in Alicante has taken out a successful private prosecution against the criminal who stole two suitcases from a car parked at a Guardamar hotel. The thief has been landed with a €12,000 bill for injuring two by-standers who tried to help stop the robbery, two Guardia Civil officers who gave pursuit and with damaging their vehicle.
