Guardia Civil have seized nearly 2,000 pieces of meat in an operation against food fraud in the region of Cáceres.
Four people were arrested in the raids, with another five under investigation.
The investigation begain following reports of activity at a meat factory which had been closed down in the town of Malpartida de Plasencia.
Hams, sausages and pork products were all confiscated during the raids, with no local authority oversight on the operation.
