The Social Work Unit of the Department of Health of Torrevieja has doubled its resources with a team focussed on preventing loneliness and improving support for vulnerable patients.
Pilar Santos, Manager of the Department, explained that “attention to social and health problems associated with situations such as dependency, violence or abuse is essential. We are joining forces with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Associations and City Councils to improve the conditions for patients and their families and prevent situations of loneliness and abandonment”.
