Health Minister Carolina Darias has issued a call for the global vaccination against the coronavirus, in an effort to increase the low rates of vaccination in devevoping countries.
During a press conference at the G20 Health conference – currently underway in Rome – the minister called for the urgent need to act in countries which had low levels of uptake for the vaccine.
On average developing countries only have around 2% of the population vaccinated. She called for more developed nations to support the COVAX and global Vaccines for All initiatives that are currently underway.
