Firefighters have rescued a 60-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man from the Via Ferrata de Callosa de Segura. Both were suffering from dehydration and exhaustion and became distressed as they neared the ‘tube bridge’, where chains help hikers to pass across the mountain. The Mountain Air Rescue helicopter was sent to the scene and the couple were lifted to safety.
