The Canaries will see an extra days’s holiday next year, after the Canarian Government approved the draft decree for public holidays.
In total 14 days of paid holiday are in the calendar for 2023, including January 6th, April 6th, Easter weekend, May 1st, May 30th, August 15th, 12th October, November 1st, December 6th, December 8th and Christmas.
Holiday dates for the individual islands have also been approved, with September 15 being earmarked for a public holiday in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
New Year’s Day is not included next year, due to it falling on a Sunday.
