Firefighters were called to a blaze in a home on Avenida Teodomiro in Orihuela. The fire was reported in an apartment on the first floor of a 10-storey building. The flames originated from a pan on the stove which spread through the kitchen. The firefighters used a heavy rural pump and were able to extinguish the blaze fairly quickly.
