Jet2.com has confirmed that it plans to triple the number of seats in 2022 compared to those that were available in last year. The commitment will see passenger numbers increase from 180,000 to 460,000. This would bring them much closer to pre pandemic levels. In 2019 during the tourism boom the airline had 670,000 travellers.
The regional secretary of Tourism said “as soon as sanitary conditions allow, and the omicrom situation improves, international demand will return to the Costa Blanca.”
