Four-weeks of road works began in La Zenia this morning. The first phase will see new tarmac and road markings being laid on the Carretera de Villamartin on the section that runs from the N332 to the roundabout by the motorway toll.
Police are asking local residents to avoid the area if possible or to be patient if there are traffic queues.
