A man has been jailed for 32 years for the extreme abuse of his girlfriend over three months at their home in Castellon. He has been ordered to pay 79,000 euros in compensation.
It is believed that the abuse stemmed from jealousy with the accusations against the woman becoming more and more paranoid. The reign of terror only ended when the woman threw herself out of their vehicle near to the Palace of Justice and Guardia Civil officers rushed to her aid.
