Officers from San Fulgencio Local Police rescued an 80 year old man, after his car had ended up in a water filled ditch. The alert was raised by a neighbour who was worried the man would drown as he was stuck inside the vehicle and could not get out.
The rescue had to be swift, as the vehicle was gradually sinking and the victim was showing signs of exhaustion and hypothermia. The man was rescued by officers and did not need hospital treatment.
