Mar Menor on the Mend

The Latest report on the Mar Menor shows that the lagoon is steadily improving, and that the delicate ecosystem is ‘better’ than it was last summer. It is hoped that the higher levels will provide greater resilience against any up-coming storms. The head of the scientific committee reported that 17,200 tonnes of algae and mud have been removed since January to help balance and restore the devastated ecosystem.
