The regional government in Murcia has announced the overnight closure of all non-essential activities from today, as the latest wave of the coronavirus continues to raise concerns across the country.
The restrictions will be in force from one in the morning until six, and are initially expected to be in place until the middle of next month.
The news came as the regional government in the Canary Islands said it was looking to reintroduce restrictions on overnight opening of hospitality depening on the level of alert on each island.
Catalonia introduced new restrictions this week, as case numbers in the region continue to rise.
