Spain’s first hydrogen powered bus has begun service in Madrid – after being launched by the regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
The trial service will run initially until the last three months of the year, and is being investigated to determine if it could be a solution for public transport in the future.
The almost silent vehicle which is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell only produces water as an exhaust and can run for 400 kilometres on a single charge.
