The European Court of Human Rights has demanded Spain compensate the mother of a girl from Orihuela with 32,000 euros. The girl died in 2013 at the age of six as a result of a failure in an artificial respirator. The girl became quadriplegic as a result of a traffic accident in March 2010 and was connected to a respirator, but as a result of a failure in the assisted breathing system, she later fell into a coma, until her death.
