More than 6% of the Spanish population is now fully inoculated for covid-19, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.
Regional health bodies have administered 8.7 million doses of the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccines, an increase of 195,096 since last Saturday.
In total that means 2.8 million people in Spain have received both jabs, whilst 5.8 million have at least one dose.
Regionally, Asturias has the highest figures of those who have been vaccinated, with 15.4% of the population having received one jab.
9.6% of the population in the Canaries has received one jab, with 4.9% being fully vaccinated. whilst 12.1% of the population across the Valencian community has received one jab, with 5.2% being fully vaccinated.
