The Mayor of Pilar de la Horadada is calling for residents of the town to be allocated to Los Arcos del Mar Menor Hospital. The change would see people having a much shorter travelling time than the 22-kilometre journey they currently have to make to Torrevieja Hospital. The San Javier hospital being just seven kilometres away and coming under the Murcia health department.
