Policia Nacional have intercepted a number of underwater drone submarines that are understood to be used to transport drugs across the Strait of Gibraltar.
In raids carried out this week in Cádiz, police discovered the submersibles which were able to carry around 200 kiilograms of drugs on each shipment.
The vessels were designed to be difficult to detect once in the water, and were intercepted whilst being transported to France.
Eight people were detained in the raids, with three vessels either built or partially built seized.
