Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Madrid.
During the meeting with Mathias Cormann, Mr Sanchez spoke of the current humanitarian crisis in Ukraine following the Russian invasion, as well as the next steps for sanctions against Russia should they be needed.
Also under discussion was coordinated responses to the crisis to tackle the global economic impact of the war, following the coronavirus pandemic.
It was the first official visit by Mr. Cormann since he took office in June 2021.
