The trial of a Guardamar man, who attacked another whilst he was parking his car in the town, has begun in the Provincial Court in Elche. The victim was repeatedly punched in the face and head, and it is claimed the attacker was suffering from an outbreak of paranoid schizophrenia at the time. The defence is calling for the accused to be referred for psychiatric evaluation.
