The Regional Health Authority has reported 12,043 new infections on Wednesday 5th January, a single-day record. The previous record had stood since 26th January 2021 at 9,579.
There are currently 1,069 people in hospitals across the Valencia region due to Covid-19 and 178 in Intensive Care.
