Regional President Ximo Puig has told families in Catral that there will be school transport for their children on Monday. This follows the announcement from the local school that the Ministry of Education had abolished the school transport service that covers rural areas due to the low number of pupils needing the service. The service has been in operation for 40 years and collects students from the surrounding areas including children with disabilities from Rojales. Parents confronted President Puig as he visited a solar farm in Catral and manged to extract the promise.
