The Government is set to approve a billion euro package which will stimulate the agribusiness sector across Spain.
Yesterday prime minister Pedro Sanchez announced the scheme, which will be further funded by two billion euros of private investment in the sector.
Whilst visiting a geothermal powered food production site in in Almería yesterday, Mr Sanchez said the funding will help modernise the farming industry in Spain, whilst also ensuring the sector meets agreed environmental standards.
Plans under review will be available for both small holdings and large multi-farm producers.
