Six residents of a nursing home in the outskirts of Valencia have died after a fire broke out in the home.

Seventeen other residents were injured in the blaze, with three understood to be in a serious condition in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the residence on Tuesday night in the municipality of Moncada, just north of Valencia. 25 out of 70 residents were rescued from the blaze, which is beliveed to have started on a second floor bedroom.
An electrical fault with an appliance in a bedroom is understood to be the initial findings from investigations.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez sent his condolences to the victims families, with three days of official mourning being declared.
