Stray Chickens to be Rounded-up

Over the next few days the collection of domestic chickens from urban areas in Torrevieja will begin. The aim is to control the free roaming poultry population in several parks and areas of the town. The Department of Animal Protection has awarded the contract, worth €8,470, for the collection of 500 birds from ten specific points around Torrevieja.
