A 60 year-old thief has been arrested at Alicante-Elche Airport and although the man is alleged to have stolen several suitcases from unsuspecting tourists, it was his dodgy parking that was his downfall.
The man parked his car badly and then showed a fake driving licence when officers questioned him, whilst issuing a ticket. As officers were checking the car, the man crept away with a stolen rucksack. However, the police quickly pieced everything together when a group of tourists reported bags missing that matched those in the vehicle. The man was spotted loitering in the coach bay and arrested.
