Superhero To Save Artichokes

Artichoke farmers have hired a superhero to protect their crops, defend quality and increase consumption. ‘AlcasilMan’ has been brought in by the Vega Baja Artichoke Association and is the creation of local comedian Trino. The character dresses in green and purple with a cape and an artichoke headdress. Association president, Antonio Angel Hurtado, said: “The situation is very serious, but we have decided to draw attention to it through humour and entertainment.”
