Alicante City Council has bought the last three plots of land on Tabarca Island in a bid to ‘preserve its environmental and landscape value’. This means the protected area of the marine reserve is entirely public property, the 23 hectares are made up of native vegetation and serve as an ecosystem fauna and are popular for for birdwatching and walking.
