Tens of thousands people this weekend protested over the invasion by Russia, with marches held in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria and Valladolid.
People waved Ukrainian flags and held banners calling for peace and condeming the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. They also set up points where food, clothing and medical supplies could be donated to those in the country.
Over the weekend, King Felipe voiced his opposition to Russia’s actions, calling the invasion “unaccecptyable agression”.
Meanwhile the last convoy carrying Spaniards who had remained in Ukriane arrived in Poland yesterday morning.
The vehicles were escorted by consular officials and members of the Policia Nacional. They arrived in Krakow yesterday evening.
